Start with the host platform
The molded carrier is only one part of the assembly. Webbing width, row spacing, fabric stack-up and panel stiffness can change the installed result. Ask suppliers to test on representative host equipment instead of evaluating the carrier on a bench alone.
Five variables to control
- Footprint: record the columns and rows required.
- Orientation: define vertical, horizontal or adjustable positioning.
- Anti-rotation: specify acceptable movement under load.
- Clearance: preserve access to fasteners, controls and adjacent pouches.
- Removal: document whether field removal requires tools.
Modular product architecture
A shared carrier body may work with belt and MOLLE adapters when the attachment interface is engineered as a family. That can simplify inventory, but the extra joints and fasteners also require inspection criteria.

Frequently asked questions
Does MOLLE compatible mean universal?
No. Real panels vary, so the approved host platforms and acceptance checks should be named.
Can a carrier rotate on the panel?
Adjustable orientation is possible, but the allowed positions and locking method must be specified.
What should a quotation include?
Include the carried item, host platform, footprint, mounting method, quantity, packaging and target schedule.
