A molded thermoplastic fit shell integrated with a flexible comfort backer and belt hardware, developed and approved as one complete assembly.
Composite-system architecture
The rigid shell defines the fit cavity while the backer distributes contact and carries some attachment load. Hole placement, fastener stack, backer compression and flex can change shell position, opening geometry and retention after installation.
Program decisions
| Decision | Buyer input | Approval evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Molded shell | Fit reference, coverage, opening and retention | Configured seating/release review |
| Flexible backer | Material, thickness, edge, shape and contact zones | Identified construction sample |
| Shell-to-backer joint | Hole pattern, posts/screws/washers and serviceability | Clamp-up, clearance and flex check |
| Belt system | Clip spacing, belt range, ride and cant | Loaded installed sample |
Sample approval focus
Review the system dry and under any agreed conditioning: backer shape and edges, joint security, shell position, access, retention, clip engagement, loaded flex and hardware contact.
